I almost want to apologize about my lack of submissions, I swear I have a lot of other work that I'm REALLY proud of but I'm having difficulties hooking up my scanner. That and that I'm kinda afraid of scanning them because I know how scanners tend to butcher your work. Most are better viewed in person but until I'm rich and have my own walk-in gallery, DevART will have to suffice.

A lot of the more recent projects I've been working on are simply silhouetted or high-contrast images I've found on the web and decided to draw. Usually I'll take it into Photoshop, make it the right size, adjust the levels a bit so it's clear, maybe sharpen it a bit, then just take a piece of light paper and tape it to the monitor. Crude? Yes, but damn it it works! Once I have the lineart I usually just flip the page around, put another page under it, and retrace it on the other side. THEN, try and follow this, I flip it BACK AROUND and do a graphite transfer right into my sketchbook. And thats it, a few more hours to make it crisp and photo-like, fill in the dark, accent the light and it's done!
